Like Lenzerheide and Valbella, Lain, Muldain and Zorten belong to the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz. The villages lie on a terrace on the south-facing slope above the Schin gorge of the Albula – sunny, quiet and rich in history.
In Zorten the Vaz/Obervaz museum in the old Capuchin hospice shows how people used to live here and how tourism arrived – complete with a working mill. Lain and Muldain have baroque churches and stately houses such as the Junkerhaus in Muldain from 1698.

Here the municipality is at its most original: narrow lanes, Graubünden houses with centuries in their beams, baroque churches and the museum in Zorten. Lenzerheide is a few minutes away by car – close enough for the ski area, far enough from the bustle.
People live in old village houses, often lovingly converted, and in a few newer apartments with a wide view into the valley. Lain, Muldain and Zorten are above all villages for primary residences: for people who work in Lenzerheide or Chur and want peace and sun in the evening.
