In winter the natural ice rink invites you to skate and play curling; in summer hikes and bike tours start right in the village. Worth seeing is the Schlössli, a cultural asset of national importance.

Parpan is the village in between – between Churwalden and Valbella, between the Stätzerhorn and the Rothorn. You reach the Proschieri ski lift and the Heimberg chairlift on foot, the cross-country trail runs right through the village, and in winter the natural ice rink is part of village life. If you like it quieter than in the centre of Lenzerheide but do not want to do without the ski area, this is the place.
People live in chalets and smaller multi-family houses; the village character has remained. Parpan belongs to the municipality of Churwalden – Chur is about 20 minutes away, which is why families who work in the valley live here too. For second homes the same applies as in the whole region: existing apartments that predate the legislation may continue to be used as such, new builds are restricted.
